Malvan Maharashtra

Malvan - Oct. 2022

I always travel with my mother and sisters. But this trip was different because this trip was with my in-laws. Since June 2022 we were planning to go somewhere. It was Ashtvinayak Darshan. But somehow it was not happening. My younger brother-in-law was insisting that the whole family should go on one trip. Yuva got admission to IIT Mumbai and she was about to go to the hostel after Diwali. We decided to go to Tarkarli before Diwali and in this way, this trip came into reality. We booked 17 seaters luxury bus for the family, Aai, Pappa, Munni Vahini, Yuva, Shwas, Prasanna, Me, Pranjal, Aadi, Pintu Bhau, Shrutika and Siya. Anand Bhai was missing due to his important work.

Mumbai to Malvan

We called a bus to Palghar from Mumbai and loaded all our goods on the bus. We all were very excited though we started the late evening. We decided to take a halt in Pune. We had a very good dinner near Pune.

Then the plan changed. We traveled the whole night in the bus. In the morning 6 am, we took a halt so the driver can take a rest. This is our family photo at the Petrol pump.

We reached Tarkarli in almost in afternoon. We did not have sufficient sleep and we were searching the hotel. On the way, we had lunch - special Malvani lunch. The taste was mind-blowing. It took over all our tiredness.

Malvan Tadka

Malvan delicacy is very famous. The specially of Malvan Tadka is fish and chicken is special Malvani spices. Malvani food includes rice, fish curry, fried fish, bhakari / roti, solkadi, slices of onion and lemon.
In Tarkarli, We came to know that water sports were stopped at Tarkarli because of one accident and the weather was not good so the government was not giving permission to start. Yuva and Pranjal got disappointed because water sports was the purpose to come to Tarkarli. We booked three rooms in the cottage-type hotel and relaxed there.

Places to visit in Malvan

Malvan Beach

In the evening, we went to the beach and watched the sunset. Prasanna and Yuva took the bike from the hotel person and went to Malvan to find some medicines. There they came to know that water sports were open in Malvan. So they booked the water sports there for the next day. Only the difference was sea is deeper in Tarkarali so scuba diving is more thrilling than Malvan where the sea is shallow. We were beginners so we had no problem with that.

Malvan Beach

We had an amazing fish dinner at night and booked one Boat trip for the next day morning with some package. At night, we ordered Ukadiche Modak from neighborhood for next day morning.

Everyone got up ready and attacked Modak and Tea. Yummy sweet Modak was melting in our mouths. I clicked several photos together. Then we went to the creek side to board the Boat. He took us to different places Mini Kerala, Sangam etc.

Sangam at Malvan

We saw one small tapari like a boat that was serving breakfast. We anchored our boat near to it and had ghiradi and chutney, lemon juice, onion bhaji, tea etc. It was a true fun to have breakfast in the boat.

Malvan Beach Scuba Diving

Then we headed to Malvan, we had water sports there like a banana boat ride, bumper boat ride, and speed boat ride. Then we went to the deep sea for snorkeling and scuba diving. I was afraid as I scare of water, but I thought to give it a try. Yuva, Pranjal, Munni Vahini and I went into the sea. They trained us for breathing but I gave up when I went inside the sea. We went for Parasailing and it was a fabulous experience, so beautiful from the top and so enchanting.

Rock Garden Malvan

In afternoon, we went to Bamboo restaurant for lunch. We returned to the hotel and went to visit Rock Garden in Malvan. We watched a fountain show there. Outside the garden, we had a foot massage and a fish massage. The tiny fish were eating our feet' dead skin and it was tickling us. We kept laughing. We did shopping while returning. We bought homemade eatables, kokam, syrups, spices, papad, shell jewelry etc. At last, we had a sweet pan.

Fish Spa

Then we spent time around the hotel area. It was such a good time when the whole family was together. Such moments should come often. After all, family is our biggest support system. The one who is close to the family doesn't need any friends outside. I am very fortunate to get the best in-laws who support me in all my ups and downs.

The next day morning, we got up and started our journey toward the Palghar. We stopped at one place for breakfast. In Kolhapur, we visited Mahalaxmi Temple. We had lunch in Kolhapur and dinner in the mall near Pune. We reached home at 2 am night. Everyone was tired because the bus which we booked could not cross the limit of 80 km/hr. So it was a long journey for us. The whole expenses of this trip were paid by Pappa, my father-in-law.
