India is a country with diverse culture. This diversity is embodied in its festivals also. We can simply say, "India is a land of festivals." Every month, we celebrate one and another festival. Festivals are important for any culture. As a human being is a social creature, festivals bring community and people together. They help to develop good bonding in society. Festivals become reasons to come together, celebrate together, stay together and cherish together. There may be some issues in families, in relationships or in friendships but we forget the issues and clashes and meet each other to wish season's greetings.
It is very important that we should keep our culture alive through the celebration of our festivals. Today's generation is not aware about scientific reasons why certain festivals are being celebrated. They assume that celebrating festivals is a superstitious belief. Our ancestors were very smart and intelligent people and they planned festivals according to season, climate and for some scientific reasons. We made arrangements for food and snacks on festivals so wisely which is required for good health and immunity.
Parents should ensure that their children should celebrate with full enthusiasm as they help to reduce loneliness, anxiety, stress, depression and relax the body and mind. The children develop social interaction and learn social norms. Festivals also help to develop good manners and good habits among children.
